Apr 5, 2019 10:56:26 AM

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019 the Credit Union held its 79th Annual Meeting. To begin the meeting, Chairman of the Board George White, and President & CEO Gene Foley addressed the membership. They both conveyed great appreciation for our loyal members and hardworking staff who helped the Credit Union achieve yet another successful year. In addition, Executive Vice President & CFO Craig Leonard reported on the strength of the Credit Union’s financial position, as well as the healthy growth the Credit Union experienced in 2018.

Mr. Foley maintained last year’s optimistic theme, attributing the credit union’s strong fiscal year to its strong support of the community, stating “As a business, we are doing well by doing good.” Foley continued, “Our credit union is trying to do its part for the communities we serve and because of this, we are growing like crazy and have been incredibly successful.” He explained that “what we really do is help people pay the rent, own homes, earn a degree, retire more comfortably, gain financial empowerment through education or sleep better at night knowing that we’ve got their back in times of financial emergencies. We provide outreach in our communities, not because we have to; but because we can.”

Congratulations to our elected Directors: Guillermo Banchiere, Ann Dexter, April D. Edrington, Mary E. Straub, and Shahar Ziv. All of our Directors bring years of experience and enthusiasm to the Board, and we are excited to work with them over the course of their three-year term.

Finally, the HUECU 2018 Annual Report was distributed at the meeting and offers many highlights from the past year. You can find a digital version of the report included below.
