Celebrating 45 Years of Positive Community Impact

With stunning 360-degree views of the city, HUECU celebrated Fenway Community Development Corporation’s 45th Anniversary at the Prudential’s Skywalk Observatory.

The annual Fenway Ball benefits the programs of Fenway CDC that work to improve the economic and social well-being of over 1,000 low and moderate-income residents in the Fenway neighborhood.

“As a designated low-income credit union, HUECU is uniquely positioned to demonstrate our commitment to affordable housing in Fenway,” says Matt Wildman, HUECU’s Residential Lending Manager and Board Appointed Director at Fenway CDC. “We’re continually supporting and applauding the amazing work going on in the diverse communities we serve.”

Fenway CDC works with families, children, elders, people with disabilities, and formerly homeless veterans to increase access to affordable housing, job skills training, employment opportunities, financial education, and social services.

Additionally, Fenway CDC educates local leaders to drive positive change in their neighborhood, in order to improve the quality of life for all residents.

HUECU employees enjoyed delicious food, drinks, and desserts; danced to the greatest hits; bid on auction items; snapped photos with the official mascot for the Boston Red Sox, Wally; and, posed with the 2004 World Series championship trophy.

Please join us in saluting Fenway CDC’s mission to build a future that is economically vibrant, culturally diverse, and holistically healthy for all residents of the Fenway neighborhood.

Happy 45th anniversary! Here’s to many more!
