With ongoing support from HUECU, Cambridge Family and Children’s Service (CFCS) raised over $300,000 at their 25th Annual Gala and Auction.

Established 145 years ago as a small orphanage, CFCS is the oldest human services agency in the city of Cambridge. Today, CFCS is a highly regarded non-profit that provides intervention to at-risk families, adoption services, foster care programs, and services to children and adults with disabilities and their families.

The annual gala is their largest fundraising event and provides critical funding throughout the year for community programs and is essential in the continuance and expansion of their services.

The event features a networking cocktail reception with a silent auction, and dinner accompanied by a presentation of their important work in the community.

This year’s program also featured Cambridge Mayor Mark McGovern, who honored the Avon Children’s Friend Award to the indelible David Maher, former two-term Mayor of Cambridge and current President of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, for his outstanding advocacy for children and families.

HUECU is very proud to have been supporting CFCS for over 17 years, and we applaud our fellow community members for their collective generosity that together raised over $300,000 to support the ever-expanding programs and services for local families and children.
