Jeans for the Jimmy Fund

In celebration of the arrival of Spring and baseball season, HUECU seized the opportunity to Rally for the Jimmy Fund by raising money for critical cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), a Harvard teaching hospital.

Boston Red Sox fans at HUECU donated to the Jimmy Fund and showed their Sox pride, by raising hundreds of dollars for life-saving cancer research and patient care at DFCI. HUECU employees celebrated their generous donations by wearing Boston Red Sox apparel, and doubled their donations in exchange for wearing jeans to work.

All Jimmy Fund donations were matched dollar-for-dollar by HUECU, however, the total contribution was doubled again - matched dollar-for-dollar by Dana-Farber Trustee Bob Reynolds and his wife, Laura!

As Harvard’s not-for-profit financial cooperative, we are proud to demonstrate our ongoing, longstanding commitment to making life-saving cancer treatment possible at DFCI and all Harvard’s teaching hospitals. Together our employees and the community are making a difference.
