This Holiday Season HUECU wanted to give a sense of hope and joy to as many hospitalized and/or seriously ill kids as possible. With the help of our Charlestown Navy Yard community, HUECU hosted a Cards for Kids event where staff and community members designed handmade cards to be donated to area hospitals.
Being in the hospital, battling a health condition is difficult at any time, but especially difficult during the holidays. Over one hundred cards were made and delivered to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Thank you for helping us brighten the days of hospitalized kids this holiday season.
