In late September, a number of HUECU young professionals donated their evening to attend a community fundraiser at the Google Cambridge Campus in Kendall Square.
HUECU is a long-time sponsor of Cambridge Family and Children’s Service (CFCS). All the ticket sales from the event went towards the CFCS Residential Programs that serve the most vulnerable youth in state care, adolescents age 16 and up who have not been adopted or reunited with their families and are often released from state services with little support.
In attendance that evening were a number of staff from group homes and social workers from community-based apartments that help build independent living skills for young adults. Thanks to the participation of more than 100 guests, the evening event raised $4,000 for the young men and women in the CFCS program.
