For the second year in a row, HUECU hosted a Cards for Kids event at the Charlestown Navy Yard on Thursday, December 15. Our goal was to get the community involved to brighten the days of as many hospitalized children as possible by crafting cards. As we have seen in past Cards for Kids events, the display of creativity and support from the community was incredible! Community members appreciated the opportunity to participate and found it as a fun way to relax and emotionally connect to those hospitalized during the holiday season.
Over one hundred (100) cards were crafted and will be shared with children at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
