On Thursday, HUECU hosted our second Cards for Kids event at the T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Our goal was to get the community involved to help brighten the days of as many hospitalized kids as possible by crafting greeting cards.
The display of creativity and support of this event from members of the community was incredible. Students and staff at the School of Public Health busy with Commencement activities and exams found time to give back to their own community. HUECU staff and members appreciated the opportunity to brighten someone’s day and found it as a fun way to relax.
All the cards will be delivered to kids at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Shriners Hospital for Children and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. We thank you all for your messages of inspiration and for giving a sense of hope and joy to these kids at a time in need.
